Animals for Life is a 501(c)(3) non-profit animal rescue organization dedicated to the rescue, placement, and care of animals in need. We are passionate about improving the quality of life for homeless, abused, and neglected animals through advocacy, education, and compassionate care.
Founded in 1996, our organization began with a simple goal: to find needy animals the loving homes they deserve. Almost 30 years later, we remain deeply committed to our founding mission while working to address the root causes of pet overpopulation throughout Connecticut.
We believe in the power of education and outreach to solve the issue of homeless pets in our state. Operating from our shelter in Naugatuck, we provide a safe haven for animals, support feral cat populations through our Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) program, and offer vital resources for pet owners, including spay and neuter information.
We view adoption as the start of a lifelong partnership, and our adoption counselors work closely with you to find a pet that truly suits your lifestyle. By getting to know your family and your unique situation, we ensure that every placement is set up for long-term success and happiness. Our goal is to create the best possible match for both our animals and our adopters.
Whether you are looking to adopt, volunteer, or support our efforts, we invite you to become a part of our mission. Visit our available pets page to meet your new best friend, or contact us to learn more about how you can help us continue providing happy endings for animals in need. We look forward to meeting you and your family!
