The Chesed Foundation Rescue is dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming unwanted pets while providing essential support to local animals and their owners in need. Our name, translated from Hebrew as loving kindness, defines our commitment to acting on behalf of those who cannot help themselves.
Our History
Born from a vision to intervene in the shelter system and provide a second chance for discarded pets, Chesed has been active for over two decades. Since our incorporation as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in 2004, we have remained steadfast in our goal to provide quality veterinary care and find permanent, loving homes for thousands of animals.
How We Operate
We are a 100% volunteer-run organization without a physical shelter facility. Instead, the heart of our rescue is our amazing network of foster families who provide a safe, nurturing environment for pets to thrive while they receive medical care and wait for their perfect match.
