Animal Rescue Konsortium ARK
Our Mission
ARK Animal Rescue Konsortium is dedicated to providing comfort, care, and compassion to homeless animals while supporting families with accessible, affordable pet wellness services. We believe in building a stronger, healthier community for our four-legged friends and the people who love them.
Our Story
Founded in 2007 by Maggi Hall, ARK began as a response to the urgent need for rescue services in Central Florida. Today, under the leadership of Ginny Oakwood, our headquarters in Crescent City serves as a hub of hope, helping us continue our vital work as a no-kill organization committed to improving animal welfare across Putnam County and beyond.
How We Help
We believe in a comprehensive approach to animal wellness that goes beyond simple rescue. Our operations include a supportive foster and adoption program, emergency intake for homeless litters, and a mobile clinic providing low-cost spay, neuter, and vaccination services. By educating our community—including our local youth—on best practices, we strive to keep pets happy, healthy, and in their forever homes.
The Joy of Adoption
Adopting an animal is a life-changing experience, and we are here to help you find your perfect companion. Most of our adoptable dogs and cats are cared for at our Crescent City Kennel, where they receive the attention and preparation they need to thrive in a new family. When you adopt from ARK, you are not just getting a pet; you are joining a compassionate mission dedicated to every animal's future.
