Nassau County Animal Services
Our Mission
Nassau County Animal Services is dedicated to protecting both public safety and animal welfare by providing compassionate care and support to the animals in our community. We believe in building a safer, more humane future for pets and people alike.
Why We Serve
Our organization is here to address the diverse needs of our community, from rescuing animals in distress to reuniting lost pets with their families. By enforcing animal-related laws and responding to local concerns, we ensure that every animal in Nassau County has the opportunity to be treated with the care they deserve.
How We Care
We operate an animal shelter in Fernandina Beach that serves as a temporary home for pets awaiting their forever families. Additionally, we utilize a foster program where volunteers open their homes to provide a loving environment, helping our animals reduce stress and prepare for life in a permanent home. We provide essential supplies and medical care to all our foster pets, ensuring they are healthy and ready for adoption.
Your Role in Their Journey
Adoption is a joyful partnership that transforms lives, and our goal is to help you find the perfect new best friend. We focus on getting to know our animals so that we can share updates and behavioral insights that lead to successful, lasting matches. When you adopt, you are not just bringing home a pet; you are giving a deserving animal a second chance at happiness.
