Polk County Bully Project

Polk County Bully Project

Our Mission

At the Polk County Bully Project, we believe that every dog deserves to be in a loving home. We are dedicated to ending breed discrimination and cruelty for Pit Bulls and all Bully Breed dogs through community support and education.

Who We Are

Founded in 2019 by Shannon Medina and Angie Lorio, our organization is a foster-based non-profit 501(c)(3) rescue located in Lakeland, Florida. Since our inception, we have been committed to giving every dog a second chance, successfully rescuing over 5,500 dogs to date.

How We Help

As a volunteer-based rescue, we rely on the kindness of our community to provide the best care possible for our animals. We operate as a foster-based network, where we manage all necessary immunizations, spaying, and neutering while providing food and essential supplies for our foster families to ensure our dogs thrive.

Your Role in Our Family

Adoption is a joyful journey, and we are here to help you find the perfect companion to complete your home. We invite you to explore our list of available dogs to see which of our wonderful residents might be the right fit for your family and lifestyle.

Get Involved

Whether you are ready to adopt, foster, donate, or volunteer, you make a real difference in the lives of Bully Breed dogs in Polk County. We encourage you to fill out an application or reach out through our website to learn more about how you can support our mission today.
