SPCA Florida
Our Mission
SPCA Florida is dedicated to eliminating animal suffering and engaging our entire community in the welfare of animals. We are here to provide care, compassion, and hope to the thousands of homeless pets who need us most.
Our History and Commitment
Founded in 1979 in Lakeland, Florida, we have grown into an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization focused on saving lives. As a proud No-Kill organization, we are committed to strengthening the bond between people and pets throughout Central Florida.
How We Care for Animals
Our work goes beyond the walls of our state-of-the-art Adoption Center. We operate a comprehensive, managed-intake shelter, supported by a robust foster program that provides temporary, nurturing homes for animals who are too young, ill, or injured to thrive in a shelter environment. Through our Veterinary Clinic and various community outreach programs, we strive to keep pets with their families while preparing our residents for their future homes.
The Adopter Connection
Finding your perfect companion is a journey we are honored to support. Our trained staff and volunteers focus on helping you find a pet that fits your lifestyle, ensuring that every adoption is a joyful and sustainable match. We believe every animal deserves a second chance at a happy life, filled with love and sunny adventures.
