Through passionate collaboration with our community, SPCA Tampa Bay works to transform the lives of animals every single day. Our vision is to create a community where every animal matters.
For more than 85 years, we have proudly served animals and the people who love them throughout our community. Since our founding in 1940, we have grown to become an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit, relying on the support of compassionate individuals to sustain our operations and mission.
At SPCA Tampa Bay, animal welfare goes beyond simply providing shelter; it is about empathy, compassion, and strengthening the bond between people and animals. Our team provides medical attention and enrichment to dogs, cats, pocket pets, exotic animals, and injured wildlife as they transition toward their next chapters. We are also committed to keeping pets in homes whenever possible through vital resources like our pet food banks and low-cost vaccine clinics.
We believe in a For-All approach, standing with every family and every animal regardless of their story. We strive to provide a safe, supportive space for those looking to find a new companion, ensuring each animal receives the care they need while they await their forever home. Our team works hard to meet the individual needs of every pet, helping to ensure that the match you make is a lifelong partnership built on love.
