Our Mission
Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, retrain, and rehome vulnerable and at-risk dogs. We are dedicated to providing educational tools, community outreach, and advocacy for stable pet ownership and animal welfare.
Our History
Established in 2016 and becoming a 501(c)(3) in 2017, we began as Chez Malinois to support the specialized training and rehabilitation needs of Belgian Malinois. We soon recognized that Southwest Florida was overpopulated with dogs of all breeds needing a second chance, prompting us to expand our services through Rescue Garage to support animals of every size and background.
How We Care for Our Animals
Rescue Garage is a 100% volunteer-run organization, from our Board of Directors to our dedicated dog walkers and kennel attendants. We pull our rescues from high-kill shelters and adverse living conditions, ensuring every animal receives medical care, spay/neuter surgery, microchipping, and professional training before finding their FURever home.
