At Sheltering Hands, our goal is to make the world better for our feline friends and the families who love them. We are dedicated to providing accessible, high-quality care to ensure every cat has the best advantage in their journey toward a loving home.
Our Heart and History
Founded in April 2007, Sheltering Hands began as an altruistic effort to provide essential care for local cats through a dedicated group of individuals united around a doctor. Since those humble beginnings, we have grown to serve multiple counties across Central Florida, collaborating with local government and other animal organizations to build a growing network of support.
How We Provide Care
Our work is driven by a passionate team of caregivers and fosters who provide a quality upbringing for the animals in our care. From our low-cost spay/neuter services and vaccination clinics to our on-site facility, Coco’s House, we focus on every cat’s individual wellbeing. We also manage a dedicated senior foster program, Love for a Lifetime, providing continuous medical care for cats in need.
