Pet Alliance - Orlando Pet Alliance Shelter

Giving Pets a Second Chance Since 1937

Every animal deserves a chance, and Pet Alliance is dedicated to ensuring that every wag, purr, and new beginning is met with compassionate, professional care. We strive to create more caring communities by promoting happier, healthier pets and their families throughout Central Florida.

Our History and Community Impact

As one of the region's oldest and largest animal welfare agencies, we have been serving pets and families since our founding as the Orlando Humane Society in 1937. Today, we continue that legacy by working outside the walls of our facilities to engage the entire community, ensuring that no loved animal in Orange, Seminole, or Osceola County goes hungry or lacks essential care.

How We Help

We believe in transparency and providing high-quality, professional standards for every animal in our care. Our two shelter locations provide food, medical support, and safe housing, while our public veterinary clinics offer affordable wellness exams and spay/neuter services. By utilizing foster homes and community-based programs like our Pet Food Pantry and Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Return (TNVR) initiative, we work to minimize homelessness and keep pets with their families.

Finding Your Perfect Companion

Adoption is a joyful partnership, and our team is committed to making the right match for you and your future pet. All our animals receive spay/neuter surgery, microchipping, and vaccinations, ensuring they are ready to transition into your home. Our adoption counselors provide support throughout the process, ensuring you feel confident in your new friendship.

Join Us in Our Mission

Whether you are looking to adopt, volunteer, or support our life-saving work, you are an essential part of our community. Explore our adoptable animals online today, visit one of our shelters in Orlando or Sanford, or contact us to learn how you can help create a brighter future for our local pets.

We have a very special request from our most adorable spokesperson, Orange Julius. Having just returned to our Orlando location from foster care, Orange Julius wants to share that we are currently supporting over 100 kittens in foster homes and are running extremely low on canned kitten food! We are specifically in need of pâté-style, poultry-flavored varieties. You can support our foster kittens by ordering directly from our Wish List at PetAllianceOrlando.org, or by dropping off donations at any of our shelter or clinic locations (Alafaya, Orlando, or Sanford) during our regular hours of operation.
