FLUFF Animal Rescue exists to take animals on a journey from lonely and unloved to forever family. We are dedicated to saving lives and making a difference in our community every single day.
Our History
Founded by Kimmy Chandler in 2016, our organization grew from a personal passion for animal welfare into a dedicated network of support. We were established to directly combat animal overpopulation and shelter overcrowding by focusing on compassionate care and community education.
How We Operate
We are a 501(c)(3) public charity and a proud foster-based community rescue. By housing our animals in private homes, we provide them with the personal attention and environment they need to thrive before joining their new families. Our network of foster parents and dedicated supporters is the heartbeat of our life-saving mission.

10/7 - 💚🙏💚 Thank you FLUFF FAMILY for answering the prayers from our Parvo case puppies and gifting them ALL with Bones & Food! 10/6 - what a journey it’s been. These babies didn’t deserve to die, and we said YES — yes to the work, yes to the mess, yes to the long nights, yes to giving them the chance they were never given. It’s been a whole lot of poop, a whole lot of towels, gowns, gloves, and a whole lotta “we love you, pups.” And today, we’re celebrating the little victories: formed poop for some, soft‑serve for others, and a few still trying their best. Everyone is eating, drinking, playing, and telling us exactly how they feel. We couldn’t be prouder of how they’re presenting. Their fight is showing. Their joy is showing. Their future is showing. Thank you to everyone who has supported them — your kindness is helping rewrite their story.

9/30 - On September 25th, 2026 we got to save lives! We said "YES" to 13 dogs who were exposed to Parvo and some tested positive. 2 pups stayed overnight, and every puppy received their antibody at Veterinary Emergency Group of Clearwater. One pup named Kenny Rogers, unfortunately lost his battle and crossed over to the Rainbow Bridge peacefully and surrounded with kindness. Their journey From Lonely and Unloved to Forever Family has officially begun. If you can help us support them, every dollar fuels their fresh start. These sweet faces say it all. 9/24 - HELP! Our BIG dogs are waiting to be adopted and are getting overlooked just because they are “BIG”. It’s not just at FLUFF-this is a horrible reality at all shelters and rescues in the USA, especially in Florida. 💚WHERE ARE OUR BIG DOG PEEPS AT? 💚BIG DOUG E. FRESH has been waiting since 7/13/26. He was transferred from Pasco County Animal Services to Fluff in hopes to offer him a different demographic to increase his chances at not being overlooked. He waits in the kennel at Fluff for someone to see how amazing he is everyday. Doug E. Fresh is a senior citizen at 7 years old and started his journey first with Pasco Animal Services where he tested positive for heartworms and has since been treated. He needs out of the kennel environment to keep him low stress for his heart and a loving home for his heart. Doug E. Fresh has all his heart to give! 💚BIG EDDIE has been waiting since 8/29/26. 💚BIG MOOSE has been waiting since 8/19/26. 💚Eddie and Moose💚 are brothers and were adopted as little adorable puppies *separately* from Fluff. Unfortunately they were both coincidentally returned around the same time due to their BIG dog-ness due to their size and age expected behavior. 💚EDDIE AND MOOSE💚 are both REALLY 🥸🥸 intelligent dogs who would love *separate* active homes that will engage with them challenge them daily, play ball with them their most favorite thing for them to do, and continue working on their training.
