Seminole County Animal Services

Our Mission

At Seminole County Animal Services, our dedicated team of staff and volunteers is committed to providing responsible, reliable, and efficient care. We strive to enrich, preserve, and respect the lives of all animals in our community.

Our History and Commitment

Established in the early 1970s, our organization was created to implement local ordinances that prevent domestic animal nuisances and provide a safe, welcoming space for stray and homeless pets. Today, we continue this legacy by not only enforcing vital safety ordinances but also offering essential services like microchipping and rabies vaccinations to ensure every pet stays healthy and protected.

Seminole County Animal Services provides foster families with food, supplies, medical care and medications. For Brendon, fostering Nala through the BFF100 Program at Seminole County Animal Services became an unforgettable learning experience. While in his care, Nala gave birth to eight puppies — and they ultimately adopted Nala and two of her puppies. Foster families also help extend the impact of taxpayer-funded resources by providing pets with care, attention and a safe place to grow outside the shelter. Together, these efforts help County resources go further while ensuring shelter animals receive the care they need. Your property taxes help support this work and many other County services.
