H.A.L.O. No Kill Rescue
Our Mission
Helping Animals Live and Overcome (H.A.L.O.) provides a no-kill safe haven where we take extraordinary measures to save homeless pets and protect them from abuse and neglect. Our vision is to create a world where no more pets have to experience the loneliness of homelessness.
Our Journey
Since our founding in 2005, H.A.L.O. has been dedicated to believing in miracles for animals in need. Over the years, we have grown into a vital community resource, having saved over 20,000 lives and counting as we continue to engage our community through education and life-saving programs.
How We Save Lives
We believe that every life counts, which is why we maintain a 98% save rate through a combination of our dedicated main shelter and a robust network of over 140 amazing foster families. By utilizing specialized programs like our Homeward Bound training initiative and the Ambassador Foster Program, we ensure that every animal receives the individualized care, socialization, and love they need to thrive before finding their forever homes.
Your Partner in Adoption
Adoption is a joyful partnership, and our team works hard to ensure we create the perfect match for you and your new companion. We provide full veterinary care, including spaying or neutering, vaccinations, and microchipping, so you can focus entirely on the excitement of welcoming a new family member home. Our staff and trainers are always here to offer guidance and support throughout your transition.
Join Our Tribe
Whether you are ready to adopt, volunteer, or foster, there is a place for you in our community. We invite you to visit our main shelter in Sebastian to meet our wonderful rescues or explore our adoptable animals online to see who is waiting to meet you today. Thank you for believing in our mission and for being a hero to the animals who need it most.
