Wags & Whiskers Pet Rescue, Inc.
Our Mission
Wags & Whiskers Pet Rescue is a dedicated non-profit, No-Kill organization in St. Augustine, Florida, working hard to ensure every animal in our community finds the perfect, loving home. We are committed to giving rescued cats and dogs the second chance they deserve to thrive and enhance their new family’s lives.
Who We Are
We are a small, local group of volunteers united by a passion for animal welfare. Many of our rescues arrive from the streets, local shelters, or previous homes where they could no longer be cared for, and we are proud to provide them with the medical care and love they need to prepare for adoption.
Our Foster-Based Approach
Wags & Whiskers is not a traditional shelter; instead, we operate through a compassionate network of foster homes. This approach allows our dogs and cats to live in a nurturing, home-like environment while they wait for their forever families. By living in foster care, our animals receive personalized attention and care, ensuring they are healthy, spayed or neutered, and fully vaccinated before they join your household.
Finding Your Perfect Companion
We believe that adoption is a joyful partnership, and we take care to help you find the right match for your lifestyle. Whether you are looking for a playful kitten or a loyal companion dog, our team is here to support you through the process. We encourage all potential adopters to complete an application, which allows us to coordinate successful meet-and-greets for our foster animals.
