Our Mission
Smitten With Kittens is an all-volunteer, no-kill, 501(c)3 non-profit rescue dedicated to the simple, life-saving mission of finding permanent, loving homes for kittens in need. We believe that every tiny life deserves a chance to thrive in a forever family.
Why We Specialize
Operating in Tallahassee, Florida, we focus our efforts on the most vulnerable kittens who often face the highest risks at shelters: the orphaned, abandoned, and underage. By specializing in kittens under two months or two pounds, we provide the critical medical care and socialization they need to grow into healthy, happy pets.
Our Foster-Based Model
We are a proud network of foster homes rather than a traditional shelter, which allows us to provide a nurturing, home-like environment for our kittens. This model gives our rescues the individualized attention they require to heal, socialize, and gain confidence while preparing for adoption. Because we rely on the kindness of our dedicated volunteer fosters, we can focus on giving every kitten the care they deserve, one life at a time.

Adoption is the beginning of a beautiful journey, and we take pride in matching our kittens with families who can best meet their unique needs. We ensure that every kitten is fully prepared for their new home by providing age-appropriate vaccines, testing for communicable diseases, and ensuring all are spayed or neutered prior to adoption.
