Gold Coast Greyhound Adoptions - Gulf Coast Chapter
A Heart for Every Hound
Gold Coast Greyhound Adoptions is a passionate, all-volunteer 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to connecting retired racing greyhounds and other sighthounds with loving, qualified forever homes. We believe in creating extraordinary partnerships between these gentle animals and their new families.
Our Mission and Evolution
Since 2003, we have been committed to educating the public about the wonderful temperament of the greyhound breed. While our roots began with placing retired racers, we have expanded our mission to include other sighthound breeds like Galgos, Podencos, and Lurchers, ensuring more of these sweet dogs find the care they deserve.
How We Operate
We are a dedicated team of volunteers who work tirelessly to place dogs in caring environments. We maintain important partnerships with international organizations like the Irish Retired Greyhound Trust and Greyhounds As Pets in Australia, while also supporting retired racers from other states. Our expanded national reach now includes a dedicated transport van, allowing us to bring these fabulous hounds to their forever families across the country.
Your Journey to Adoption
We want you to feel confident and joyful in your decision to adopt, which is why we encourage families to meet their new companions in person whenever possible. We take a personalized approach to every placement, offering support and guidance as you welcome a new canine member into your household. Whether you are seeking a racing retiree or a sighthound companion, we are here to help you make the perfect match.
Join Our Community
You can make a difference today by viewing our available dogs, applying to foster, or joining us at one of our upcoming events. We invite you to reach out, say hello, or support our mission through a donation. Let’s work together to give these deserving hounds the happy ever after they’ve been waiting for.
