Angels Among Us Pet Rescue is dedicated to our mission of Rescue One Until There Are None. We strive to provide a helping hand to every dog and cat that comes into our care, turning fear into joy and hopelessness into lasting hope.

Our Story

Founded in February 2009 by LuAnn Farrell, Valerie Addington, and Mark Weinberg, our organization began with a simple commitment to saving at-risk animals from shelters in Georgia. Over the past decade, we have successfully rescued and saved the lives of over 23,000 dogs and cats. We exist to be the voice for those who have suffered from neglect or abuse and to advocate for the responsibilities of pet ownership.

How We Operate

We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that operates on a foster-based model, which allows our rescues to thrive in real home environments while awaiting their permanent families. This approach ensures that our animals are better socialized to family life and gives us deep insight into their unique personalities and temperaments. Our life-saving work is made possible entirely through the generosity of our donors, volunteers, and dedicated foster families.
