Augusta Animal Services
Our Mission
Augusta Animal Services is dedicated to protecting life and property while enforcing the laws that keep our community and animals safe. We strive to provide humane, compassionate solutions for stray and homeless pets through our rescue, foster, and adoption efforts.
Providing a Haven
Since our founding, we have served as a vital community resource for lost, abandoned, and released animals across Augusta-Richmond County. Our team of dedicated staff works tirelessly to promote responsible pet ownership and ensure that every animal in our care receives a high standard of humane treatment and shelter.
Our Care Model
Our shelter operates as a central hub where we care for thousands of animals annually, focusing on their well-being and successful placement. By networking with local and national rescue groups, we create more pathways for animals to find their forever families. We are committed to transparency in our processes, ensuring every animal is given a fair chance at a happy future.
Your Adoption Journey
Adopting a pet is a life-changing decision, and we are here to help you make an informed choice that creates a joyful, lifelong partnership. We encourage families to spend time getting to know our pets and, whenever possible, bring in existing pets to ensure a harmonious meeting. Our staff is always available to discuss your lifestyle preferences and provide the support you need to welcome a new member into your home.
Connect With Us
We invite you to visit our shelter at 4164 Mack Lane to meet our wonderful animals. You can explore available pets by calling 706-790-6836 or by visiting 24Pet Connect anytime. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of animals who are eager to give their hearts to a loving family.
