Safe Pet Project Inc
Our Mission
The Safe Pet Project is dedicated to building a more humane community for our beloved pets by providing essential services that keep them safe, healthy, and happy. We believe that all animals deserve to be treated with respect, compassion, and love.
Our Story
Established in September 2021 by a group of experienced animal advocates, the Safe Pet Project was born from a desire to address the unmet needs of dogs and cats in our community. From our humble beginnings focusing on microchipping to our volunteer-driven thrift store, we have grown into a multi-faceted resource for mountain pets and their families.
How We Help
As a licensed animal shelter with a robust foster network, we are uniquely equipped to provide temporary homes and medical care for animals in need. Our programs include everything from life-saving veterinary assistance and TNR for feral cats to our popular thrift store and pet supply distributions. We rely on the passion of our volunteers to ensure every animal receives the attention they deserve while awaiting their forever families.
The Adopter Connection
We are a no-kill organization that prides itself on creating lasting, joyful matches. When you adopt from us, your new companion comes prepared for a fresh start with spay or neuter surgery, microchipping, and current vaccinations. We work closely with our animals to understand their unique personalities, ensuring they find the perfect home where they can truly thrive.
