Homeward Bound Pet Rescue Inc. of Gilmer County
Our Mission
Homeward Bound Pet Rescue is dedicated to saving dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens in the North Georgia mountains. We focus on rescuing animals from local high-kill shelters and situations of abandonment, providing them with the care they need to find their forever homes.
Who We Are
As a non-profit organization, we rely entirely on our dedicated, all-volunteer staff to carry out our mission. We believe in the power of community, and our work is made possible by the generosity of our supporters and the energy of our awesome army of volunteers who offer their expertise, time, and love to every animal in our care.
How We Help
Our process is built on compassion, where we prioritize healing and comforting every animal we rescue. Many of our rescues thrive through the support of pet foster parents, who provide temporary, loving homes that serve as a crucial bridge between abandonment and a permanent family.
Joining Our Journey
We believe that every adoption is a meaningful partnership, and we are committed to helping you find the perfect match for a peaceful and happy household. By considering the unique needs of our animals, you become a vital part of the success stories we celebrate every day.
