Five Freedoms Farm is a unique animal sanctuary dedicated to rescuing animals in need while fostering community development and environmental sustainability. We are committed to providing a safe, affirming space where animal rescue, care, and adoption empower both our residents and the Deaf community.
Founded by Nancy and Jessie Romer, our organization evolved from a home-based foster effort into a 14-acre sanctuary located in the beautiful foothills of the Northeast Georgia Mountains. Our mission is to care for animals in a space that explores DeafSpace, entrepreneurship, and education, creating a holistic environment where every resident can truly thrive.
We are a 100% volunteer-run 501(c)(3) nonprofit, with our directors and supporters working tirelessly to provide medical care, nourishment, and a loving environment for our animals. Our sanctuary specifically focuses on saving senior dogs with medical needs and farm animals in search of a permanent safe haven. We believe in the importance of a comfortable physical environment that respects the identity and well-being of every living soul in our care.
When you choose to adopt from Five Freedoms Farm, you are joining a compassionate community that values the dignity and potential of every animal. We carefully oversee our rescue efforts to ensure that each adoption is a successful, life-changing match for both the animal and your family. Your support allows us to continue this vital work and expand our programs for future generations of animal-lovers and advocates.
We invite you to be part of our story by exploring our available residents on Petfinder or learning more about our volunteer opportunities on our farm. Please reach out to us via email or visit our website to see how you can get involved in our mission of kindness and collectivist action today.
