Dawson County Humane Society & Animal Shelter
Our Mission
At the Dawson County Humane Society, our mission is to provide a safe haven, quality care, and basic needs to the homeless dogs and cats of our community as they await their forever homes.
Our Story
Our organization is the result of immense hard work and sacrifice, with our facility opening its doors in April 2008. We are proud to have been a no-kill shelter since September 2012, reflecting our deep commitment to the wellbeing of every animal in our care.
How We Help
We operate a dedicated shelter facility where we evaluate, rehabilitate, and prepare animals for their next chapter. Our team provides essential medical care, including spaying or neutering all adoptable animals prior to their transition to a new family, ensuring they are healthy and ready to thrive.
Finding Your Perfect Match
We believe that rescue animals make the very best companions, and we are dedicated to helping you find the perfect fit for your lifestyle. We encourage you to bring your entire family to meet our adoptable pets so we can provide guidance on finding a personality that truly complements your home environment.
