Columbia County Animal Care & Control
Finding Your New Best Friend
Columbia County Animal Services is dedicated to connecting animals in our care with loving, permanent homes. We believe that every pet deserves a fresh start, and we are committed to facilitating meaningful relationships between people and their new companions.
Our Community Commitment
Serving the residents of Columbia County, our facility provides essential animal services and support for our community. We operate as a local government department dedicated to the welfare of animals and the safety of our citizens, ensuring that every animal entering our care receives professional attention.
How We Care for Our Animals
Our team at the facility manages the daily care, feeding, and medical needs of our animals, providing a safe environment while they wait for their forever families. We prioritize the health and quality of life of our residents, working with local veterinarians to ensure animals are vaccinated and prepared for their next chapter. Our staff is here to help manage the adoption process, including required medical agreements to ensure each pet starts its new life on a healthy path.
Building a Lasting Connection
Choosing the right pet is a long-term commitment that begins with understanding your own lifestyle and environment. We encourage you to research breeds and temperaments to ensure a perfect match, as a well-suited pet creates a truly joyful and educational experience for your entire household. Our goal is to provide the information you need to make an informed, confident decision about adding a new member to your family.
