At Mostly Mutts Animal Rescue, we are committed to transforming abused, abandoned, and unwanted animals into cherished family members for life. Our goal is to reduce the number of animals euthanized in the metro Atlanta area by providing comprehensive care and finding loving, permanent homes for every pet in our care.
Since our founding in 2004, Mostly Mutts has grown from a small group of volunteers with a modest garage space into a dedicated team of over 800 volunteers. A transformational gift from Anne Reed allowed us to establish our state-of-the-art facility in Kennesaw, Georgia, providing a safe, comfortable, and specialized space for animals while they await their forever families.
We operate through a compassionate, volunteer-based model that blends the warmth of foster homes with the structure of our Kennesaw adoption center. Our foster families play a vital role, opening their hearts to provide individualized care, while our Mostly Mutts University program ensures our rescue dogs develop confidence and essential social skills. By focusing on both medical rehabilitation and behavioral support, we prepare our rescues for success in their new lives.
We believe in the power of thoughtful matching to build lasting, joyful partnerships between pets and their people. Our team goes to great lengths to understand the personality and needs of each animal, ensuring that when you find your ideal companion, it is the start of a beautiful friendship. Because good dogs make happy people, every adoption includes free obedience and socialization training to help you and your new pet thrive together.
Whether you are ready to open your heart to a new rescue or wish to volunteer your time, we invite you to join our mission. Explore our current adoptable dogs and cats on our website, or contact us to schedule an appointment to meet your future best friend today.
