Street Paws, Inc. is dedicated to healing hearts—both animal and human—through love, rescue, and compassion. We work every day to improve the lives of animals living on the streets of Georgia by providing essential care and finding them the safe, loving homes they deserve.
Incorporated in 2012, Street Paws began with a clear purpose: to advocate for neglected animals and promote responsible pet guardianship. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, we partner with local shelters, government agencies, and our community to reduce animal overpopulation and prevent cruelty through spay/neuter initiatives and public education.
We take a proactive, multifaceted approach to animal welfare, combining a robust network of loving foster homes with our new, dedicated shelter facility in Locust Grove. Most of our rescued animals thrive in foster care until they are ready for adoption, receiving all necessary veterinary support and plenty of socialization. Our team also manages community cat colonies, provides food and water for strays, and offers outreach programs to help keep pets with their families.
We believe that adoption is a joyful partnership, and our thoughtful matching process ensures that every animal finds a home perfectly suited to their personality and needs. Whether you are interested in one of our resilient shelter residents or a pet currently in foster care, we verify veterinary histories and provide comprehensive medical care—including spay/neuter, vaccinations, and microchipping—to ensure your new friend starts their new life on the right paw.
Are you ready to meet your new best friend? We invite you to view our available adoptable pets on our website or visit us during one of our upcoming adoption events. Together, we can provide the second chances that every animal deserves.
