Good Mews Animal Foundation is metro-Atlanta’s premier cage-free cat shelter, dedicated to providing a safe, no-kill haven for homeless, abused, or abandoned cats. We believe every feline deserves a lifetime of love and care as they wait for their perfect forever family.
Our Journey and Vision
Our story began in the early 1980s when founder Gloria Skeen was inspired by two rescued cats and an unexpected inheritance. Today, that vision continues through our commitment to addressing the pet population crisis and fostering humane values in our community.
A Different Approach to Care
At our 5,500 square-foot facility in Marietta, we prioritize comfort and enrichment through a unique cage-free environment. While we rely on dedicated volunteers and community donations rather than government funding, we provide world-class medical attention and individual support to our residents. Beyond our walls, we extend our impact through vital community programs like low-cost spay/neuter services, TNVR, and pet food pantries.
