Metter Animal Shelter

A Heart for Our Community Pets

At Metter Animal Shelter, we are dedicated to connecting local animals with their forever families. We believe that every dog and cat in our care deserves a loving home where they can truly thrive.

Why We Are Here

Our shelter serves as a vital resource in the Metter area, providing a safe haven for animals while they wait for their perfect match. By offering a supportive environment, we ensure that our residents receive the care and attention they need until they find the right family to call their own.

How We Help

Located on E Hiawatha St, our facility is focused on the daily well-being of the pets in our custody. We work diligently to prepare our dogs and cats for adoption, ensuring they are ready to transition into new, happy lives with you.

The Adopter Connection

We believe that shelter animals can be some of the sweetest companions you will ever own. While these resilient pets may need a little time and patience to settle into their new surroundings, the bond you build with a rescue animal is incredibly rewarding and deep.

Start Your Journey Today

We invite you to discover our current residents and see who might be the perfect addition to your home. Adoption fees are $40 cash for dogs and $20 cash for cats. Please visit us at 940 E Hiawatha St, call us at 912-685-7877, or browse our available companions online at metter.petfinder.com to learn more about our adoption process.
