Coastal Pet Rescue
Our Mission
Coastal Pet Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to saving the lives of homeless, abused, and neglected dogs and cats in Savannah and surrounding areas. We believe that one person can make a profound difference in the life of an animal in need.
Our History
Founded in February 2003, we have spent over two decades changing lives across Chatham, Bryan, and Effingham Counties. By providing medical care, socialization, and a path to a forever home, we work to reduce euthanasia rates at local county animal controls.
How We Care
We operate as a hybrid rescue, utilizing a dedicated network of foster homes alongside our small capacity shelter, Camp Pawsawhile Retreat. Every animal in our care receives veterinary attention, vaccinations, and spay or neuter surgery before becoming eligible for adoption. This supportive environment ensures that our pets are physically and emotionally prepared for their next chapter.
Your Partner in Adoption
We take pride in our thoughtful matching process, which relies on adoption applications, vet reference checks, and in-home interviews. Our volunteer team works closely with you to ensure that the pet you choose is the perfect, lasting fit for your family and lifestyle. We are committed to transparency and helping you start your journey with a healthy, happy companion.
