Lowndes County Animal Services
Our Mission
Lowndes County Animal Services is dedicated to protecting both our citizens and our animals through professional care and the prevention of cruelty. We strive to foster a community that embraces the mutual benefits of the human-animal bond, treating every animal with the care and compassion they deserve.
Building a Compassionate Community
For years, we have served as a vital resource for our community by operating an animal shelter for stray, abandoned, and unwanted pets. Our work is rooted in the belief that through education on responsible ownership and active intervention in cases of cruelty, we can build a safer, kinder environment for everyone.
Our Commitment to Care
Our shelter operates out of our facility on Gil Harbin Industrial Blvd, where we provide a dedicated space for animals to wait for their forever homes. Because we take the issue of overpopulation seriously, we ensure that every pet adopted from our care is spayed or neutered prior to being released to their new family.
The Joy of Adoption
Adopting a pet is a life-changing decision that brings immense joy and documented health benefits to your household, from lowering stress levels to providing companionship. We encourage you to take this journey thoughtfully, ensuring your home environment is ready to welcome a new member who will thrive under your care.
Find Your New Best Friend
Ready to meet your perfect match? We invite you to visit our shelter during our regular business hours to spend time with the wonderful, adoptable pets in our care. You can also view our currently available animals online through our website or by visiting us at 337 Gil Harbin Industrial Blvd in Valdosta to begin the adoption packet process.
