At Second Chance Animal Adoption, our mission is to serve as faithful stewards for all lost, abandoned, and homeless animals in Boundary County. We are dedicated to providing a safe haven and ensuring every animal receives a second chance at a loving, lifelong home.
Our organization began in 1998 when Kate Turner, Alice Miller, and nine passionate community members united to address the overwhelming number of homeless animals in our area. By 2010, we successfully established the only no-kill shelter in Boundary County to better support our local companions.
Our 1,450-square-foot facility is designed to keep our animals comfortable and happy while they wait for their new families. With spacious kennels, a new cattery, and dedicated outdoor play areas, we ensure that every pet in our care receives professional attention and plenty of enrichment from our caring team.
Adoption is the start of a beautiful journey, and we take great care to help you find the pet that best fits your lifestyle. Whether you are looking for a playful puppy or a quiet feline friend, we provide a transparent, supportive process to ensure a successful match for both you and your new companion.
We invite you to visit our Bonners Ferry shelter during our open hours, Monday through Saturday, to meet our wonderful available pets.
