Providing Animal Welfare Services (PAWS) serves as a vital community resource dedicated to preventing pet homelessness, protecting animals from harm, and promoting responsible ownership. We believe in tackling animal welfare issues at both ends of the leash by supporting both pets and their human companions.
For over 25 years, PAWS has served as a lifeline for local pets and the people who love them. We understand that pets and people often struggle together during times of hardship, which is why we provide a holistic approach that offers financial assistance, veterinary support, and community resources to keep families together.
We operate as a community-centered organization with a dedicated shelter in Driggs, Idaho, serving as an open-admission facility for lost, stray, or abandoned animals. Beyond our shelter walls, we provide essential services including our MedFund for emergency veterinary care, low-cost spay and neuter vouchers, and specialized crisis intervention for pets in need of safety during emergencies or domestic violence situations.
When you choose to adopt from PAWS, you are gaining more than just a pet; you are welcoming a companion who has received compassionate care, medical attention, and enrichment from our dedicated team. Our mission is to unite loving companions with their forever families, ensuring that every transition is built on a foundation of support, health, and mutual kindness.
Ready to meet your next family member? We invite you to view our currently available adoptable pets on our website or contact our shelter team to learn more about our adoption and fostering process. Your support—through adoption, volunteering, or donations—makes our mission possible and helps us continue serving the pets and people of our community every day.
