At MCPAWS Animal Shelter, our mission is to transform lives by strengthening the human-animal connection. We are dedicated to building a humane community where all animals are well-cared for and loved.
Founded in 1998 by a dedicated group of volunteers to assist the City of McCall, we have grown from a small grass-roots effort into the West Central Mountain Region's only nonprofit, no-kill animal welfare organization. We operate today because of the compassion of our community and the vital support of partners like the Leeta Anderson Animal Foundation, who helped us establish our permanent shelter facility.
We are proud to provide exceptional care for the homeless dogs and cats in our shelter, ensuring every animal receives vaccinations, microchipping, and spay or neuter services before adoption. Beyond our facility, we offer a variety of essential services—including community programs, pet food distribution, and training assistance—designed to help pet owners keep their companions happy and healthy at home.
When you choose to adopt from MCPAWS, you are not just bringing home a pet; you are participating in a lifesaving movement to end pet homelessness in our region. Our staff and volunteers strive to create thoughtful, joyful matches that enrich both your life and the life of a deserving animal. We believe in the power of this connection to foster a lifetime of companionship and mutual happiness.
We invite you to experience the difference for yourself by visiting our shelter in McCall. No appointments are needed to meet our adoptable cats and dogs, so please come by to find your new best friend today.
