Benld Adopt-A-Pet
Our Mission
Benld Adopt-A-Pet is a dedicated 501(c)(3) non-profit organization committed to rescuing abandoned and abused animals and placing them into loving, permanent homes. We believe every life is precious and work tirelessly to ensure our animals receive the care and compassion they deserve.
A Legacy of Compassion
Our journey began in 1983 when Lorraine and Marvin Little turned their own residence into a sanctuary for strays in need. More than 40 years later, we continue to uphold their founding commitment, having successfully found homes for over 30,000 animals with the support of our dedicated volunteers and community members.
Our Caring Model
Operating as a no-kill shelter in Benld, Illinois, we provide a safe and comfortable environment for cats and dogs until they find their perfect match. Our facilities include a fully equipped surgery and dental suite, where our visiting veterinarian performs necessary medical procedures and spay/neuter services to help reduce animal overpopulation.
Connecting Pets and People
We believe that adopting a pet is a joyful partnership, and our team is here to help you find that special friend to share your life with. Through our foster programs and mobile adoption events in communities like Litchfield and Springfield, we strive to make the adoption process accessible and supportive for every family.
