CATsNAP is dedicated to improving the welfare of animals in the greater Champaign County, Illinois area by reducing pet overpopulation and finding loving forever homes for cats in need. We believe that every cat deserves quality care and a life filled with love.
Established in 2005, our non-profit organization was founded to address the urgent community need for better animal welfare and to limit the number of unwanted animals relinquished to shelters. We advocate strongly for spaying and neutering as a primary solution to prevent overpopulation and ensure that fewer cats are born into situations of inadequate care.
We operate as a volunteer-based organization where animals are housed in foster homes or at our headquarters in Champaign. By providing a home environment whenever possible, we are able to gain accurate insights into each cat's personality and behavior to better serve both the animal and their future family. Most importantly, animals in our care are never euthanized for space.
Adopting a cat is a rewarding, lifelong commitment, and we are here to guide you every step of the way. We take great care to ensure each match is successful by providing full veterinary support, including spay/neuter surgery, vaccinations, and microchipping prior to adoption. We believe that finding the perfect companion is a partnership built on trust, and we look forward to helping you find your new furry family member.
Whether you are looking to adopt, volunteer, or provide a temporary foster home, your support makes our work possible. We invite you to browse our available cats online or contact us to learn more about how you can make a difference in the life of a rescue cat today.
