Our Mission
The Critical Animal Relief Foundation is dedicated to helping animals in critical need, providing them with the urgent care and support they deserve. We believe in providing safety, healing, and the relief of pain and suffering for animals when time is of the essence.
Why We Serve
Based in Chicago, IL, our 501(c)3 organization addresses the needs of animals in precarious situations, whether they are facing terminal or non-terminal health challenges. We work both independently and in partnership with other responsible rescue groups to ensure that limited resources are used effectively to create the best possible outcomes for those in our care.
Our Approach
Our work goes beyond immediate medical and surgical interventions. We are passionate advocates for proactive animal welfare legislation, support awareness campaigns for at-risk children and adults, and sponsor assistance programs for marginalized individuals. By funding educational initiatives, we strive to foster a future of responsible animal stewardship for generations to come.

9/24 - 🐾🏙️ FISHER BUILDING CAT DAY = SUCCESS! 🐱🎉 We brought CARF rescue babies to the Fisher Building last night… and apparently the kittens were the real VIPs. 😹 There were lots of snuggles, tons of smiles, plenty of “OMG, SO CUTE!” and even some potential forever-home connections! 🏡❤️ And little Miss Shredder was SO curious about all the visitors! 👀 She spent half the night standing on her back paws, looking like a tiny little meerkat, checking out everything happening around her. 😂🐱 A HUGE thank-you to our amazing foster moms who showed up with their babies, helped facilitate the event, answered ALL the kitty questions, and basically let their foster cats steal the show. 😻 Want to help us save more? 🐾 Foster. 🏡 Adopt. 💙 Donate. 📲 Follow & share.
