The goal of the Effingham County Humane Society is to reduce animal suffering in our county through educating and promoting responsible pet ownership. We are dedicated to providing quality care for homeless pets and finding them the loving homes they deserve.
Our History and Community
Since 1979, our organization has been committed to serving Effingham County and the surrounding area. Located in the former Funkhouser School, our non-profit shelter is sustained by the incredible support of our community through fundraising, contributions, and adoption fees.
