Our Story and Purpose
Inspired by the story of the boy throwing starfish back into the ocean, we know that while we cannot save every animal, we make a world of difference for the ones we reach. Since 2006, we have partnered with high-kill shelters to transport thousands of animals to safety and provide resources like spay/neuter programs to support long-term change.
Our Foster-Based Approach
Starfish Animal Rescue operates as a foster-home-based organization, meaning we have no shelter on our premises. This model allows our animals to receive individualized care and love in a home environment while they wait for their perfect match, ensuring they are well-socialized and ready for their next chapter.
