Granite City Animal Control & Adoption
Our Mission
Granite City Animal Control is dedicated to balancing the safety and welfare needs of our community by providing a safe, nourishing environment for the animals in our care. We are committed to finding new, loving forever homes for every homeless animal that comes through our doors.
Serving Our Community
As a vital division of the City's Public Works Department, we serve Granite City by enforcing animal-related laws and protecting public safety. Beyond our regulatory role, we act as a compassionate bridge for stray, unwanted, and injured animals, ensuring they receive the care and attention they deserve while awaiting their second chance.
Our Commitment to Care
We operate a dedicated animal shelter located at 2900 Missouri Avenue, where our team works tirelessly to provide nourishment and a secure environment for every animal. Our staff is trained to handle each case with care, balancing public safety with the humane treatment of every animal we shelter. Whether it is an injured animal found in our community or a stray in need of comfort, our team is there to provide the support they need.
Your Next Best Friend
Adoption is a joyful journey, and we believe in the power of creating meaningful, long-term connections between pets and their new families. When you choose to adopt, you are not just getting a pet; you are providing a second chance to a deserving animal and becoming a part of their happy ending.
