Our Mission
Bond County Humane Society is a dedicated, lifesaving organization founded on the core value that all animals deserve to be treated in a humane manner. We work tirelessly to rescue, shelter, and advocate for our community's cats and dogs, helping them find their way to permanent, loving homes.
Our History and Purpose
Since our inception in 2003, we have served as a no-kill animal shelter and adoption center committed to reducing pet overpopulation. We believe that awareness and education allow animals and humans to come together, enriching the lives of both. We are proud to have helped over 2,860 animals find their furever homes since 2004.
Our Care Model
We operate as a privately-funded, not-for-profit shelter where rescued and owner-surrendered pets receive the care they need while awaiting their next chapter. Beyond our facility, our efforts are supported by a network of foster homes and volunteers who provide essential daily care and socialization. Additionally, we actively promote health and welfare through low-cost spay/neuter assistance and Trap-Neuter-Return programs for free-roaming cats.
