Stray Animal Midway Shelter
A Dedicated Mission
SAMS Rescue is committed to reducing the number of euthanized animals in Central Illinois, one adoption at a time. We believe every animal deserves a second chance at a happy life, and we are here to make that possible.
Our Heart for Animals
Located in Hanna City, the Stray Animal Midway Shelter was founded on a simple, compassionate promise: we treat every animal that walks through our doors as though it were our own. We work tirelessly to support the welfare of our residents until they find their perfect, permanent homes.
How We Care
Our shelter operations are supported by a passionate team and a network of volunteers who provide vital care for our cats and dogs. Beyond our facility, we also rely on dedicated foster homes to provide temporary, loving environments for animals needing extra support before they find their forever families.
Your New Best Friend
Bringing a new animal into your family is a meaningful decision, and we are honored that you are looking to SAMS for your new companion. We focus on thoughtful, positive experiences to ensure that when you find that love at first bark, it is the start of a beautiful, lifelong partnership.
