The Humane Society of Logan County is dedicated to connecting dogs and cats with loving families across our community, ensuring every animal receives the care they deserve. We exist to serve animals, people, and our local community through rescue, adoption, and education.
Chartered as a nonprofit in 2006, our organization has grown from a foster-based rescue into the permanent shelter you see today on Lincoln Parkway. Thanks to the extraordinary generosity of community members, we broke ground in 2011 on a facility that serves as a safe haven for Logan County's homeless pets.
As a no-kill organization, we are proud to be powered entirely by our community, receiving no federal, state, or local tax dollars. We provide comprehensive care for every animal, including spay and neuter services, vaccinations, and microchipping, ensuring our residents are healthy and ready for their next chapter. Beyond our shelter, we actively work to prevent pet overpopulation through low-cost services and a pet food pantry to keep pets and families together.
Every adoption represents a life changed and an opportunity for us to help the next animal in need. We believe in thoughtful, intentional matching, guiding you through every step to ensure your new best friend is the perfect fit for your home and lifestyle. Your decision to adopt not only gives an animal a forever home but also strengthens the bond we share as a community.
Your new companion is waiting to meet you. We invite you to explore our available pets on our website, visit us during our open hours, or follow our journey on Facebook and Instagram. Whether you choose to adopt, volunteer, or donate, you are directly helping us provide a brighter future for the animals of Logan County.
