QC Paws (Pets Are Worth Saving) is a private non-profit organization dedicated to supporting the welfare, health, and safety of the animals within the Rock Island County Animal Care & Control Shelter. We strive to promote responsible pet ownership while ensuring every animal receives the quality care and respect they deserve.
We believe in a progressive approach to animal welfare, built on a foundation of compassion and integrity. By providing a medical suite for surgeries and vaccinations, as well as maintaining a state-of-the-art facility, we aim to ensure that every adoptable pet is given the best possible chance at a loving, permanent home.
The Rock Island County Animal Care & Control facility is a full-service, 12,000-square-foot environment designed for the comfort and safety of our animals. With 87 indoor/outdoor dog runs, an open communal cat adoption room, and an enclosed courtyard for exercise, we provide a welcoming space for our community to interact with pets in need. This dedicated space allows us to serve the animals of Moline, Rock Island, East Moline, and all of Rock Island County with professionalism.
Adoption is a joyful journey, and we encourage you to spend time getting to know our residents before you make your final choice. Whether you are looking for a loyal dog or a friendly cat, our team is here to help you through our in-person application process. We are proud to provide the medical history and care each animal needs to thrive in your home.
We invite you to visit our facility in Moline to meet your future companion or learn about our volunteer opportunities. You can reach our office at (309) 558-DOGS to learn more about our adoption services or our weekly low-cost vaccination clinic. We look forward to helping you make a difference in an animal's life.
