Menard County Animal Control
Our Mission
Menard County Animal Control is dedicated to providing professional care and support for companion animals throughout our community. We are here to ensure the health and safety of local pets and the families who love them.
Serving Our Community
Established to serve the unique needs of our rural landscape, our department manages essential companion animal issues, ranging from helping stray animals to addressing feral cat colonies. Our office, led by Administrator Terrance O'Brien, DVM, works diligently to foster a safe environment for both pets and residents across Menard County.
Providing Compassionate Care
At our facility, every animal in our care receives daily attention, including consistent feeding, watering, and kennel cleaning. Our staff ensures that all adoptable animals are vaccinated and dewormed to help them get the best possible start, and we provide opportunities for exercise under professional supervision.
Building Lifelong Friendships
Choosing to adopt is a wonderful way to bring a new companion into your life. Our team works hard to keep a variety of dogs and cats ready for their forever homes, and we are committed to helping you find the perfect match for your family. We believe every animal deserves a second chance at a loving, permanent home.
