PAWS Humane Society
Our Mission
PAWS Humane Society of Rockford is dedicated to saving lives, providing compassionate care, and finding forever homes for homeless pets in Winnebago County and the surrounding areas.
Our Journey
Founded in 1988 as a spay/neuter assistance operation, we have proudly evolved into a full-service humane society. Beyond animal rescue, we are committed to education, frequently engaging with local public school systems to teach the next generation of animal owners about responsible pet care.
How We Provide Care
We believe in doing rescue differently to ensure every animal gets the best possible start. Our feline residents enjoy a comfortable, enclosure-based life at the Sonal Puri Family Animal Rescue, while our canine rescues thrive in the warmth and stability of dedicated foster homes. This unique, blended model allows us to provide personalized attention, rehabilitation, and love to every animal until they find their perfect match.
The Perfect Match
Your journey to finding a new family member is something we take to heart. We carefully assess each animal's temperament to ensure a harmonious transition into your home. Our team is committed to making the adoption process a positive, transparent experience that puts the welfare of our animals and your family first.
