Our Mission
As Will County’s original no-kill shelter, we are dedicated to providing a safe, compassionate haven for homeless pets while helping them find their loving forever homes. We believe every animal deserves a lifetime of care, and we are committed to our residents for their entire lives.
Our History and Purpose
For over 40 years, we have served our community with a singular, unwavering purpose. As a private 501(c)(3) non-profit, we rely entirely on the generosity of supporters like you to fund our mission, as we do not receive federal or local government tax dollars to operate our facility.
Our Care Model
Every day of the year, our dedicated team of staff and volunteers provides comprehensive care for up to 25 dogs and 50 cats. Our pets arrive from local animal control facilities or through rescue transport systems, and they stay within our shelter until they are matched with the perfect family. By maintaining a stable, supportive environment, we ensure the health and well-being of every animal in our care.

We believe that successful adoptions are built on meaningful connections. To help us find the best fit for both you and our animals, we conduct all viewings by appointment only, ensuring our adoption counselors have the time to dedicate to your family. This thoughtful, personalized approach allows us to discuss the responsibilities of pet ownership and ensure each adoption is a joyful, permanent partnership.
