The Randolph County Humane Society is dedicated to making a lasting difference in the lives of animals and our community by promoting responsible pet ownership and compassion. Our goal is to provide a safe haven for neglected and homeless pets, ensuring they find their way to loving, permanent homes.
Why We Exist
As a 501(c)3 non-profit, we serve as the only no-kill facility in Southern Illinois that accepts animals surrendered by the public. We believe that every animal deserves a future, which is why we work tirelessly to rescue pets from municipal animal control facilities and provide them with the medical care and affection they need to thrive.
How We Provide Care
Operating as a private shelter in Steeleville, we rely entirely on the generosity of our community to fund our operations, including vaccinations, spay/neuter surgeries, and daily needs. Our dedicated volunteers and staff provide more than just the basics; they offer socialization, warm blankets, and plenty of attention to ensure our animals feel cherished while they wait for their new families. We are proud to be a no-kill shelter, providing a home for every animal in our care until they are united with their perfect match.
