Chi-Town Pitties, Inc

Our Mission

Chi-Town Pitties, Inc. is dedicated to rescuing bully breeds in need from high-kill shelters and fostering positive, collaborative relationships to ensure these dogs find their permanent, loving homes. We focus on wise stewardship of our resources to provide meaningful support to the animals in our care.

Why We Are Here

We know that pit bull and bully breeds have faced significant misinformation and challenges, much like other maligned breeds in decades past. Because of this, these dogs need our collective educated minds and open hearts to help them thrive. Our goal is to support you in becoming the most informed, savvy bully breed companion possible, whether you are here to foster or to adopt.

Our Approach

As a small, specialized rescue, we are committed to leading with our heads to help quality dogs find the right homes. We work closely with area shelters to gather vital information before our dogs enter well-matched foster homes. This careful, thoughtful process ensures we can provide the best preparation for both our rescue animals and our dedicated foster families.

Finding Your Perfect Match

Adoption is a joyful partnership, and we take the time to truly get to know you and your specific home situation. We believe in transparency and guidance, helping you find a dog that will truly shine in your life. Because these dogs are athletic, have big personalities, and need the right environment, we prioritize a deep, personal connection to ensure a successful match for everyone involved.

10/3 - 🪴🌱 WELCOME THE LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS FAMILY 🌱🪴 Gather ‘round, kids. It’s time for another episode of: HOW THE F💥CK DID THESE DOGS END UP WITH CHI-TOWN? On September 17th, this very pregnant little lady was picked up by animal control after being dumped on the street. Pregnant. Alone. Homeless. Outstanding work, humanity. ⭐️ Really crushing it out there. Fast forward to September 26th, and Mama decided it was eviction day, delivering four beautiful little freeloaders. Another rescue beat us to the punch and scooped up Mama and her fresh-outta-the-oven babies that same day. Wonderful! Fantastic! Love that for everybody! Except for one teeny, tiny logistical detail: They didn’t have a committed foster. You know. The place where the nursing mother and her 4 newborn puppies were actually going to live. Minor detail. So, through the usual rescue combination of frantic texts, rearranged schedules, questionable life choices and somebody eventually saying “F*ck it, we’ll figure it out,” we stepped in. And we did, in fact, figure it the f*ck out. Mama and her four one-week-old potatoes are now safely tucked into a foster home, and since this whole situation already felt mildly theatrical and one musical number away from complete chaos, there was really only one acceptable theme: 🪴 LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS 🪴 🌹 Mama Audrey 💎 Crystal 🎀 Chiffon 🌱 Seymour 👔 Mr. Mushnik Mama Audrey’s street days are officially OVER. Her only responsibilities now are eating approximately 47 meals a day, taking care of her babies and learning that she doesn’t have to figure shit out on her own anymore. The babies’ responsibilities are considerably more demanding: Eat. Sleep. Poop. Repeat. So welcome to Chi-Town, Audrey, Crystal, Chiffon, Seymour & Mr. Mushnik. ❤️ You got here by a slightly ridiculous route, but you’re here. You’re safe. You’re ours. And all good things from here🌱🪴🐾
