Columbus Animal Care Services
Our Mission
The mission of the Columbus Animal Care Services Department is to protect and enhance the safety, health, and welfare of the animals and residents in our community. We are dedicated to building a kinder future by promoting responsible pet ownership and prioritizing the well-being of every animal in our care.
Why We Are Here
Our commitment to the community goes beyond the walls of our shelter. Through initiatives like our Furry Friends Food Bank and partnerships for low-cost spay and neuter services, we aim to keep pets and their families together. By facilitating these essential resources, we strive to reduce pet overpopulation and ensure that every companion animal receives the care they deserve.
How We Operate
Operating from our facility at 2730 Arnold Street, our dedicated team works tirelessly to improve the save rate of animals through adoptions, rescue partnerships, and collaborative medical initiatives. We are supported by an incredible network of staff and volunteers who provide daily care, enrichment, and love to our shelter animals. Whether it is through social interaction, feeding, or administrative support, our team is united by a shared passion for animal welfare.
The Adopter Connection
Adoption is the beginning of a beautiful, lifelong partnership, and we are here to help you find the perfect match for your home and lifestyle. Our staff members are committed to guiding you through the application process to ensure a thoughtful and successful transition for both you and your new companion. We believe that every shelter pet has a unique personality just waiting to blossom in a loving home.
