Animal Welfare League of Montgomery County
Our Mission
At the Animal Welfare League, our mission is to champion the fight for animal welfare by promoting spay and neuter services, educating our community, and providing a safe, loving environment for all animals until they find their forever homes.
A Commitment to Life
Our team is composed of like-minded professionals dedicated to saving lives and caring for our community's homeless pets. By maintaining a 91% save rate and working with partners across Indiana and beyond, we strive for zero tolerance for ending the lives of savable pets. We are proud to operate as a no-kill organization, ensuring that every companion animal in our care receives the support they deserve.
How We Care
We work tirelessly to make consistent improvements in the housing and care of our animals. From providing essential medical care to helping kittens grow through fostering, our dedicated team and volunteers ensure every pet is treated with respect. We believe in addressing the root causes of overpopulation, which is why we actively promote accessible spay and neuter resources for all.
Finding Your Perfect Match
Adoption is a joyful journey, and we are here to ensure it starts on the right foot. We screen all potential adopters to help guarantee that each animal is the perfect fit for your specific household. By applying before you visit, you ensure a smoother transition as you prepare to welcome your new best friend into your home.
