Lake County Animal Control
Our Mission
At the Lake County Sheriff's Animal Adoption Center, we are dedicated to providing a safe, healthy, and comfortable environment for every animal in our care while striving to find them loving, forever homes.
Who We Are
Located in Crown Point, Indiana, our facility operates under the direction of the Lake County Sheriff's Department. We take pride in our status as a no-kill facility for adoptable pets, successfully placing over 97% of the animals that come through our doors each year.
How We Care
Our shelter is more than just a facility; it is a place of transition where we prioritize the well-being of every pet. While we work diligently to maintain a high standard of care within our walls, we also partner with rescues to ensure every animal finds the right path to a permanent home.
The Adopter Connection
Choosing to adopt means you are providing a second chance to a deserving companion. We believe that every animal has a unique personality, and our staff is here to help you find the perfect match for your family and lifestyle.
